Review OBEY by Adara Wolf & R. Phoenix

4,5⭐ Mafia Doms Book 3 The story and both of the characters are morally gray/dark and that is shown in how they interact. Maddox and Knives (Nayeem) meet as teenagers and they fall in love but something happens that upend their relationship and when we meet them 8 years later the love has turned into hate.  Knives hate Maddox so much and I understand why, because of what he went through as a teenager. But he also loves Maddox just as much, so I think that twists his brain and his actions because he doesn't know what leg to stand on.  One thing though that made me mad, was when Knives interrupted a scene between a Maddox and another dom and him not thinking about the consequences for Maddox in regards to subspace and him dropping out of it so quickly.  I do though want to give kudos to Knives and his insistence on using protection when having sex with Maddox. This because he knows that he wasn’t careful during his prison stint and even if he hated Maddox at the time ...

Tuesday Spiceness

It is that time of the week again! Lets bring the spice! This week we get quotes from Extradition & Protection by Kelly Fox and Enemy Combatant by Cara Dee.   Pictures aren't mine but the Edits are!

Protection & Attraction by Kelly Fox

Since last time I updated here, I have finished 2 more books. Both from Mobsters & Billionaires series by Kelly Fox.  4⭐ ⭐️Mobster & Billionaires Book 2⭐️ This book is soo grumpy/sunshine coded with Mads being sunshine personified and Anthony being a bit more on the grumpy side.  The push and pull between Mads and Anthony drives the story forward and with the overhanging threat against Mads, makes this story take a more high-octane approach. We get to see the nitty gritty side of the mobsters and their friends and we also get to see the caring and nurturing side of the morally grey characters and their gentle billionaires. The smexy pull between the two MCs is slow-burning but oh so bright and firey when they finally give in.  In the second half of the book, we get some cameos that made me go “Hey I know you guys” and then made me go “Oh s*it I think I am reading these books a bit out of order”. But I feel like even if all the series are somewhat connected, you ca...

Convincing You With Quotes - Extradition by Kelly Fox

I said in my review of this book that they where flirting via food. And as you can see for yourself, I am not to far of, right?!? Pictuers aren't mine but the edits are!

Extradition by Kelly Fox

4,5⭐ ❤️ Mobsters + Billionaires Book 1 ❤️ This book hooked me line and sinker. Rand and his company problems and Joe and his family affiliations made the storyline. The way that they "meet-cute" and how it all evolves *chef's kiss* 🤌💋🤌💋🤌💋 Rand is a billionaire and CEO of an athletics company and Joe works for him. During a big meeting, Joe puts Rand in his place and the video of said interaction goes viral. What Rand doesn't know is that Joe is the bastard son of a Mafia Don and when Rand goes looking for Joe in Brooklyn, he is in for a rude awakening. Joe being the gentleman he is saves Rand's life. But it is not without a cost because Joe's father put a Mafia-style extradition order on his head and the only place he is safe is in Rand's penthouse. Que unhinged and funny moments when they try to clean up both messes. Also, all the hints for the books coming in this series have me so involved in what will happen to our favourite billionaires and the ...

Rushing into Love by A.W. Scott

4⭐ This book is hilariously unhinged. The background is set surrounding a new NHL Team and its owner Jake Bellport. In the season after they won the Stanley Cup Jake had the brilliant idea to acquire 2 players from 2 different teams because of injuries. Mind you, Jake acquires them with some blackmail and sneakiness.  Leon Howler and Maddox Poirier are mortal enemies and they are not happy to find out that they now are playing together. But when they meet Jake sparks fly and they realize that hate may not be hate but attraction. The way we enter Daddies/Boy land is fast but not a total surprise and for how the story is built it makes sense. The spice is steamy and we get quite a lot of it.  This book is really a fast read and I will be honest and say that there is not a super big plot, rather smaller plot bunnies getting together and creating this story.  This book is a part of a series but I have read it as a stand alone. I feel that maybe you would get out more reading ...

Tuesday Spiceness

On Tuesdays over at Instagram I post something called Tuesday Spiceness.  The premise is me picking out 3 spicy quotes from books that I have read. It can be books I just have read or even books from months back. The thing is that I have to censor the images over at Instagram since they don't like naughty words.  So I thought why not post the uncensored version on my blog since I ask that you are over 18 to read this blog.   This week we get quotes from Legendary Daddy by Mia Monroe, Branson’s Promise by C.S. Autumn and For the Night by Cara Dee.  Until next time XOXO Pictures are not mine but the edits are!

Love in LA series by Mia Monroe

In the last few days I have read the Love in LA series by Mia Monroe. This series contains three books, Legendary Daddy, Exploring Daddy and Becoming Daddy. So I thought why not gather all 3 reviews in one post?!?  4⭐ Love in LA Book 1 Legend and Bentley's love story is a fast-paced one with a lot of heart, swoony eyes and spice. This book is set in the adult entertainment industry with a dash of k*nk. Servitude, impact- & dom/sub play with Legend being a Daddy and Bentley being his boy. 📹🍑🍆💦 Bentley is a go-getter but he is also oh so shy and insecure in himself and how others see him, both professionally and s*xually. Legend is soft but an assertive daddy. He was hurt in his previous relationship and that haunts him. The setting of the book makes for some spicy scenes. But also for many heart-to-hearts. 😅🥵🌶 I am a lover of communication and I adored that Legend gently pushed Bentley to tell him what was wrong or as Bentley would have said - "not fair using the dad...

My July

I mainly use Storygrap when doing all of my reviews. And they have really been upping their game lately with some new updates when it comes to the statistics and graphics.  Since it will take me some time to post all of my reviews ( I have 200+ to post) I thought I could post some of the graphics from July. With this overview you get the basics from the month of July. You see my highest rated books, also my av. rating, how many books I read etc. I think this is a really nice way to get a feel for what I have read. This is a full overview of the 30 books I read in July and my ratings for them. Hopefully I can post all my reviews soon.  But in the meantime you can check most of them out over on Instagram.   I just thought this would be a bit fun for you guys to see. Until next time. XOXO

Welcome to Books by EC

Hi and welcome to my blog.  My name is Emma and at the start of this year I decided to pick up reading books again. and to keep myself accountable i started an Instagram account called Books by EC. Fast forward to august and I bought myself a new computer and thought “Hey maybe i should post all of my reviews uncensored on a blog”. So here we are now. I don’t know yet if I am going to post all of my reviews of 2024 but I think so. I want to have a place where I can see them all and maybe even add more stuff about the books since Instagram is not built for longer texts.  But I don't only want to post reviews on this blog, I also want to write about anything coming to mind. It could be about my everyday life or about an author, book series or even about stuff that I have learnt when reading the books i read, that means Kink etc. I have always been a lover of research and I hope this can be a safe place for people and myself to put my thoughts on so called paper. With this said ...
