Tuesday Spiceness

On Tuesdays over at Instagram I post something called Tuesday Spiceness.

The premise is me picking out 3 spicy quotes from books that I have read. It can be books I just have read or even books from months back. The thing is that I have to censor the images over at Instagram since they don't like naughty words.

So I thought why not post the uncensored version on my blog since I ask that you are over 18 to read this blog.

This week we get quotes from Legendary Daddy by Mia Monroe, Branson’s Promise by C.S. Autumn and For the Night by Cara Dee.

4,5⭐ Mafia Doms Book 3 The story and both of the characters are morally gray/dark and that is shown in how they interact. Maddox and Knives (Nayeem) meet as teenagers and they fall in love but something happens that upend their relationship and when we meet them 8 years later the love has turned into hate. Knives hate Maddox so much and I understand why, because of what he went through as a teenager. But he also loves Maddox just as much, so I think that twists his brain and his actions because he doesn't know what leg to stand on. One thing though that made me mad, was when Knives interrupted a scene between a Maddox and another dom and him not thinking about the consequences for Maddox in regards to subspace and him dropping out of it so quickly. I do though want to give kudos to Knives and his insistence on using protection when having sex with Maddox.This because he knows that he wasn’t careful during his prison stint and even if he hated Maddox at the time ...

Estranged Heart by Ashlynn Mills There is a fine balance you have to master when writing about heavy subjects like the death of a spouse, a life-threatening illness, cheating and violence and in this book, Ashlynn Mills does so. The book is gut-wrenching, suspenseful and sad but at the same time, you feel hope and love. You equally love and dislike the characters and the choices they make. This is where the balance kicks in. You as a reader are invited to an emotional roller coaster and along the way you understand why the characters make the decisions that they make. And you have to question yourself what would you have done in the same situation!? The book's essence is grounded in the question; Can your heart love someone you have never met? And if you meet said person, what should you do? Silas and Elijah have to work for their HEA, and the journey is long and lined with many obstacles.
