ARC Review - Rabbit Hole by EM Jae Black

Rabbit Hole by EM Jae Black

This book is fire!

I don’t know how to express how this book makes me feel. It’s dirty and sweet, It’s endearing and scary, it is all the holidays wrapped up in one spicy delicious bite.

This is one of the few books that I want to read just a little bit more. Obviously, there are characters and pairs where I want to know a little bit more but usually, I am satisfied with a good epilogue and maybe a bonus chapter or two. But in the case of Adair and Jack, I want more full-length books period! It’s kinda crazy how these two take over my brain.

The dynamic they created in Jack Rabbit turns even more enhanced in Rabbit Hole. We see them realize that they aren't just compatible in their k!nk lifestyle but also everyday life. It is not the smoothest of journeys to get to that elusive HEA but in the case of Adair and Jack, I don't think we would have liked it any other way.

Mind you if you are a newbie to the world of pr!mal play and k!nk, tread with caution. But if you are curious, let me just tell you, you won’t be disappointed. This is not a stand-alone, so reading Jack Rabbit first is a must before reading this one. Otherwise, you won’t understand how Adair and Jack’s dynamic works.

I am trying my hardest not to say too much but if you have read both Jack Rabbit and Rabbit Hole, slide into my DM’s so that we can gush about these two.

Review OBEY by Adara Wolf & R. Phoenix

4,5⭐ Mafia Doms Book 3 The story and both of the characters are morally gray/dark and that is shown in how they interact. Maddox and Knives (Nayeem) meet as teenagers and they fall in love but something happens that upend their relationship and when we meet them 8 years later the love has turned into hate.  Knives hate Maddox so much and I understand why, because of what he went through as a teenager. But he also loves Maddox just as much, so I think that twists his brain and his actions because he doesn't know what leg to stand on.  One thing though that made me mad, was when Knives interrupted a scene between a Maddox and another dom and him not thinking about the consequences for Maddox in regards to subspace and him dropping out of it so quickly.  I do though want to give kudos to Knives and his insistence on using protection when having sex with Maddox. This because he knows that he wasn’t careful during his prison stint and even if he hated Maddox at the time ...

ARC Review - Estranged Heart by Ashlynn Mills

Estranged Heart by Ashlynn Mills There is a fine balance you have to master when writing about heavy subjects like the death of a spouse, a life-threatening illness, cheating and violence and in this book, Ashlynn Mills does so.  The book is gut-wrenching, suspenseful and sad but at the same time, you feel hope and love. You equally love and dislike the characters and the choices they make. This is where the balance kicks in. You as a reader are invited to an emotional roller coaster and along the way you understand why the characters make the decisions that they make. And you have to question yourself what would you have done in the same situation!? The book's essence is grounded in the question; Can your heart love someone you have never met? And if you meet said person, what should you do?  Silas and Elijah have to work for their HEA, and the journey is long and lined with many obstacles. I don't want to spoil the book, so you have to bear with me when I am being vague. I a...
